“Excuse me. We have to charge you $1 for a takeout box.”
Is charging customers HK$1 (US$0.13) a Styrofoam box an effective way to cut down the use of Styrofoam boxes? Seriously. Some people just can’t or won’t carry their own reusable glass or plastic boxes with them when they are working, running errands, or traveling. Why should the burden be put on customers, instead of the restaurants or shops that decided to use or “promote” Styrofoam products?
Oxymoron.
