Who says vegan sushi is boring? Seriously, it’s the chefs and restaurants that are boring. I couldn’t believe how most of the Japanese restaurants and grocery stores in Hong Kong could sell sushi with just a pathetic, tiny piece of cucumber. They are making it difficult for people who want to eat vegetarian or vegan. They are even making it a disgrace for people who want to switch to a healthy and environmentally responsible diet.

Gaia Veggie Shop carries a full vegetarian and vegan sushi menu. These two are some of their hand roll and futomaki examples. Many restaurants and grocery stores in Columbus are doing a fantastic job in coming up with creative and yummy vegan sushi rolls as well, including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods Market, Loving Hut Reynoldsburg  and Hal & Al’s.

There’s no such thing as boring food, only boring chefs who have no creativity and heart to create edible art.
