Thank you to my friend Corey Roscoe and WorldFest Los Angeles for sharing this video. Though this is in Spanish, I think this requires no subtitles to convey the main message.
So, shoppers are buying fresh meat but don’t like how fresh their meat is. Clearly, there’s a disconnect for many people about how and where their food came from.
I usually don’t share videos but this is an inspiration for my research topic and I want this to stay on my online diary.

Robert and John, you both got a point.
I think it’s disconnect as well as lack of critical thinking.
Actually it is a disconnect, as it’s clear that the people in the video are repulsed by the thought of eating an animal that was just “killed” seconds ago. It’s the same disconnect witnessed in any major grocery market, with all the flesh neatly wrapped up, “erasing” any image of a one time live breathing sentient being. Why not have grocery stores or meat markets next to slaughter houses?? Can’t get any fresher could you? THAT is a disconnect in our society!
I’m not sure that has anything to do with a disconnect between the meat and where it comes from. It looks like he is putting a whole pig into the grinder. Sausage made from the contents of the GI tract, the hair, and the bones would be terrible and inedible. I think this says more about the lack of critical thinking skills of the people who think he is actually grinding a pig whole.
