I love going to bars, contrary to popular belief, though I don’t go there to get drunk or get laid (pardon my language). What I’m looking for is good conversations with cool friends, sipping on a couple of unique non-alcoholic drinks in a sophisticated environment. I think I found what I’m looking for in Hong Kong.

My good friends in Columbus know that I’m a sucker for bubble tea. I was in W Hotel last night and found that the Living Room provides an amazing range (a few pages) of non-alcoholic drinks, including bubble tea with homemade tapioca pearls. This is absolutely brilliant. They understand people have different needs and preferences and want to make sure that visits by teetotalers, underage and pregnant women will be as enchanting as their drinking counterparts.

I’m never quite a fan of chain stores or hotels, but a hip hotel with contemporary art and minimalistic furniture…and bubble tea? No questions asked. I’m totally sold.
