District 23 of Toastmasters International just had its Division D Speech Contest in Ruidoso yesterday.  The District was having its International Speech Contest and Table Topics Contest this season.  Steve Ellison, our very own member of Desert Basin Club in Alamogordo, won the first place of the International Speech Contest with his speech titled “The Power of Myth.”  He will represent the State of New Mexico and El Paso County to compete in the District Contest held in El Paso in May 2008.  To view the photos at the speech contests, go to my personal blog here.  Just scroll down to the bottom of the home page of my blog and choose the photo album you want to view.
